Quilting Classes for July and a Sale!

Come learn the basics to design your own t-shirt quilt! We will show you how to stabilize your t-shirts and then sew them into a wonderful pattern that you will draft! This is not a beginner class; you will need to know how to rotary cut and piece.
There are spaces still available. Call the shop to reserve your spot!

Quilt Club: This Club will meet monthly and work on a quilt from start to finish.
The next quilt will be a Double Wedding Ring.
Theresa will guide you with picking out your fabrics, and improving your piecing skills, … from start to finish. A great way to stay focused! You may join this group the 2nd Wednesday evening or the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Weekend Fun in Charlotte

The Charlotte Quilter’s Guild is hosting this year’s annual NC Quilt Symposium at Johnson & Wales University.
The quilt show will be held at Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church at 727 West Trade Street.
The show schedule is Thursday, June 3rd: 3 pm-5:30 pm and Friday and Saturday, June 4th and 5th: 8:30am-5:30pm. Admission is $5.00 per person. Come visit us in our booth!

New Classes for June
Sit and Stitch:
This fun group meets every Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 pm for good conversation and inspiration from other like-minded folks. No charge. Bring your knitting, smocking, crocheting, needlepoint, etc. and join us! We always enjoy having you drop in and sit and do your handwork.
Class policies
You may register for classes in the shop, by phone or by mail. Full payment is needed at the time of registration to reserve your space in class. Class fees will be refunded up to 48 hours before class; thereafter no refunds will be given. You receive a 10% discount on all supplies purchased for a class.
All class supplies must be purchased at Knit One Smock Too.
Beginning Smocking $45 includes supplies. 2 sessions: Saturday, June 12 and 19, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Smocking is fun! Learn the stitches to make garments better than the ones you see in the stores. You will be ready to smock most geometric designs after completing this sampler. Bring small scissors.
Embroidery Workshop $15 per session plus supplies
Meets monthly: Monday, June 28, 6:00-8:30 p.m.
Join us on the fourth Monday of each month for stitching time and fellowship! Learn how to prepare a project for embroidery or get help with embroidery you are already working on. Each month Martha will teach you a new embroidery technique or tip to make your stitching more enjoyable. Come see what everyone is making!
Smocking Workshop
$10 for 1 session or $30 for 4 sessions.
Available sessions:
Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 p.m. OR Thursdays 10:00-12:00 p.m.
Come join Martha for some quality sewing and smocking time. Work on the project of your choice and enjoy the fellowship of others. Call the shop at least one day before the session to reserve your space.
Crochet Classes
Beginning Crochet $45 plus supplies. 4 sessions;
Tuesday, June 8, 15, 22 and 29, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m
Learn the basics of crochet. Crochet a sampler with different stitches. Learn to read a pattern. You will be ready to crochet a simple project after this class. Limit 4.
Crochet Edgings $30 plus supplies. 2 sessions; Saturday, June 12 and 26, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Learn crochet edgings for baby blankets and knit garments. Basic crochet skills necessary.
Crochet Scarf $25 plus supplies. 1 session. Saturday, June 19, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
From the new Noro book, cute as can be………..with flowers. **Added Bonus** Karen will show you how to add beads to this scarf. Stop by the shop and see the sample. Basic crochet skills necessary.
Knitting Workshop

In this class you will learn hand appliqué, a new way to piece half square triangles and much more to make a cute (really cute) quilt.
