Snow Day

We're staying home today! I live on a main thoroughfare and not many cars have ventured out yet--very unusual!!

If you need to come to the shop tomorrow, call first and make sure we are open! Who knows how much of this will melt?

Enjoy the white, peaceful world, drink something warm, and stitch by the fire (or by the netflix!).
I'm working on the embroidery and applique for this. My basement sewing room is chilly so I'm glad that I brought this home to wear with my cozy hand knit socks!

Wish me luck! I wish YOU lots of happy stitching time, too!

Shop 'til you drop

Does this look like heaven to you?

Shirley, Jandell and Susann are busy getting kits and other goodies ready for our booths at two needlework shows this month. We will be at the Quilting and Fiber Art Marketplace in Sanford, NC, Friday, January 7 and 8. Click here for more info and directions.

On January 28 and 29 our traveling shop will be at the Quilting and Needle Art Extravaganza in Statesville, NC! Click here for directions to the Statesville Civic Center.
Both of these shows make a fun day trip of shopping.

These shows are not just for quilters. Jandell got the fabulous vintage buttons for her red sweater at one of these shows last year, and I got a wonderful footstool upholstered with a vintage quilt for my sewing room!
We have discount tickets for admission for both shows at the shop, so stop in and pick up a coupon. If you can't make it to Sanford or Statesville, stop in and shop from our kits for quilting, knitting and embroidery in advance of everyone else!!

Our booth at a previous show.
