Dress(es) of the week

Judy's pillowcase dress

Since we've jumped into summer these last few days, I thought I'd show you some sundresses!  Little girls love their sundresses and these three talented grandmothers aim to please!  Judy made this simple pillowcase dress out of a white-on-white Moda fabric and then made it special by adding the sweet hand embroidery to the hem.  She started with some designs from a SarahJane Studios embroidery transfer that we sell at the shop and added her favorite jacks from childhood and a jump rope on the back!

Sam's Sundress

Sam made this sweet sundress using two of her favorite fabrics.  She fussy cut just the right sections of the print for the bodice and the pockets.  Very nice!!
She used a Portabella Pixie pattern that is no longer available.  Come by the shop and we can help you find a substitute pattern!

Sharon's Knot Dress

Sharon made this knot dress using an Amy Butler border print for the yoke and hem of her dress and several other fabrics for the skirt.  I love how she used the stripe for the side panels!

Hope these three have inspired you to crank up your sewing machines and have some fun!

Don't for get our snack drive for South Fork Elementary School.   Donations will be accepted through May 10th.

Happy Stitching,

Martha
